  1. Membership Fee: $1,900 per team.
  2. Referee Fees: $1,500 per team for five matches ($300/match with $120 for the center referee and $90 for assistant referees). The league covers playoff referee fees if a team qualifies.
  3. US Club Soccer Player Fees: $26 per player.

How clubs handle costs is entirely up to them. Most clubs charge players a fee; others rely on sponsorships to offset expenses. The structure can be customized to meet the club’s needs.

The SPL doesn’t enforce minimum coaching standards. However, most teams are led by former collegiate players, professionals, or club directors. Some teams utilize player coaches whose understanding of the game aligns with the professional aspects of the sport.

  1. Men’s Season: Matches run from May 1 to July 14, with the semifinals on July 17 and the championship on July 19. Teams play a 10-match schedule (5 home, 5 away).
  2. Women’s Season: Matches run from May 1 to July 7, with semifinals on July 9 and the championship on July 12. Teams play an 8-match schedule (4 home, 4 away).

We prioritize minimizing travel time and costs for teams. Games are scheduled to avoid overnight stays, with travel typically under 8 hours for same-day matches.
